§ 5082. Month of Musical Arts

(a) The month of November of every year is hereby declared in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico as the “Month of the Musical Arts in Puerto Rico”.

(b) The Governor of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, through the corresponding proclamation, shall urge the people of Puerto Rico, as well as all private and public entities and municipalities, to celebrate the “Month of the Musical Arts in Puerto Rico” by organizing, fostering and sponsoring events and activities proper to said proclamation.

(c) The Institute of Puerto Rican Culture, the Corporation for the Fine Arts Center, the Corporation for the Stage and Musical Arts, the Conservatory of Music Corporation, the Puerto Rico Public Broadcasting Corporation, the University of Puerto Rico and the Department of Education, as weIl as other interested public entities, shall individually, in coordinatí on or jointly, recommend, schedule, organize and sponsor those activities or public or private events to be held in commemoration of the “Month of the Musical Arts in Puerto Rico.”
