§ 1008a. Broadcast rights and Internet rights

The radio, television and Internet rights proceeding from the summer and winter Olympic Games, the Pan American Games, the Central American and Caribbean Games, contests, games, and world tournaments of a specific Olympic sport shall be [for] the exclusive use of the Olympic Committee of Puerto Rico, which shall be the only entity entitled to, and with the legal capacity to sell or negotiate said rights, as well as to broadcast or transmit on Puerto Rican soil the images, sounds or graphics of any Olympic activity for the benefit of sports. The entities that contract with the Olympic Committee under the provisions of this section [shall] not block or require the blocking of via [sic] satellite transmissions, cable TV or any other medium that is not, in turn, broadcasting in a similar and unadulterated manner to consumers in Puerto Rico.
