§ 1008. Violations—Civil action

Any person or commercial firm that uses the various commercial promotional media to induce the sale of goods or services or to promote any exhibition of commercial products, using for this purpose the Olympic distinctive insignia, including the acronyms “PROC, IOC, PUROC, PUR” or the words “Olympic” or “Olympiad” or the phrase “Altius-Citius-Fortius” without the due authorization of the Puerto Rico Olympic Committee, or in violation of the conditions established or the cancellation ordered shall be subject to enjoining judicial action and claim for damages filed by the Olympic Body to prohibit the use of the Olympic identifying insignia in the commercial promotion or the exhibition of products of said person or commercial firm, to compel the compliance of the conditions imposed and to request any other remedy that is in order under the law.
