§ 806. Interagency Board; creation; duties

An Interagency Board that shall be composed of the Secretary of the Treasury, who will chair it, and by the Secretary of Justice, the Secretary of Commerce, the Chairperson of the Planning Board and the Permits and Regulations Administrator is hereby created. The Board shall meet on the date, time and place designated by its Chairperson in the summons to such effect or by request of any of its members. The quorum for the meetings shall be constituted by the presence of three (3) of its members.

The Board thus created shall be the body responsible for the evaluation of the regulations that must be adopted by the Secretary pursuant to the provisions of this chapter. In their evaluation, he/she shall take into consideration that the criteria of community safety, urban development and protection of the school environment, of the commercial activities and the best interests of the citizenry, have been taken into consideration in the adoption of the rules and regulations. The Board shall also have the power to coordinate any joint government effort that is needed to implement the provisions of this chapter. The Board shall remit a report to the Secretary with its observations and recommendations within thirty (30) days following the date on which the Secretary submitted the regulations to it.
