§ 1062. Cooperation with other institutions

The Manager of the State Insurance Fund is hereby authorized to expend annually a sum not exceeding six hundred thousand dollars ($600,000), to be charged to the year’s operations, for the purposes of vocational rehabilitation, which sum the Manager shall place at the disposal of the Vocational Rehabilitation Division of the Department of the Family to be expended, jointly with the federal contribution, for the benefit of the injured workers of the State Insurance Fund, in accordance with the terms of the contract which for the purposes of this section may be executed by both agencies, and in accordance with the laws and regulations governing the Vocational Rehabilitation Division. It being provided that the manager may make arrangements with other similar institutions, public or private, or provide these services in the facilities of the State Insurance Fund, when in his judgment it be thus necessary to adequately comply with the purposes of this section.
