§ 126h. Compensation, quorum, empowerment

No member of the Committee shall receive compensation for their services. Committee members who do not hold a public office are exempt from the application of the provisions of Act No. 12 of July 24, 1985, as amended, known as the “Ethics in Government Act of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico,” therefore, they shall not be required to file reports regarding any duties for which they do not receive compensation.

Three (3) members of the Committee shall constitute a quorum for purposes of any meeting thereof and all decisions made must be approved by the affirmative vote of at least three (3) members, which shall constitute a majority. However, at least one (1) of the affirmative votes must be cast by a member of the public interest.

The Committee shall be empowered to require information and collaboration of any agency or municipality to achieve its purposes.

The Specifications Regulatory Board shall abide by its bylaws, as approved by the General Services Administration.
