Section 21-5204 - Culpable mental state; exclusionsProof of a culpable mental state does not require proof:
(a) Of knowledge of the existence or constitutionality of the statute under which the accused is prosecuted, or the scope or meaning of the terms used in that statute; or(b) that the accused had knowledge of the age of a minor, even though age is a material element of the crime with which the accused is charged.L. 1969, ch. 180, § 21-3202; 7/1/1970; L. 2010, ch. 136, § 15, 7/1/2011.
