Section 3-6-5.6-5 - Persons not eligible to serve on board(a) A person who is a candidate for elected office or a member of a candidate's committee may not be appointed as a member of the board.(b) If an appointed member becomes a: (1) candidate for elected office; or(2) member of a candidate's committee; the member may not continue to serve on the board.
(c) An appointed member may not hold elected office while a member of the board.(d) The circuit court clerk may not be a member of a candidate's committee other than the clerk's own candidate's committee.Added by P.L. 170-2019,SEC. 4, eff. 7/1/2019.
