Section 54-1810A - [Effective 7/1/2024] PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT LICENSURE

Any person seeking to be licensed to practice medicine as a physician assistant in this state must successfully complete the following requirements before a license will be issued:

(1) Each applicant must submit a completed written application to the board on forms furnished by the board, which shall require proof of a college baccalaureate degree from a nationally accredited school and completion of a physician assistant training program acceptable to the board and accredited by the accreditation review commission on education for physician assistants;
(2) Each applicant must submit proof of current certification by the national commission on certification of physician assistants or a similar certifying agency approved by the board; and
(3) The application shall require a fingerprint-based criminal history check in accordance with section 67-9411A, Idaho Code.
