Section 14-301 - License required; exceptions(a) Except as otherwise provided in this title, an individual shall be licensed by the Board before the individual may practice engineering in the State.(b) This section does not apply to: (1) an individual who practices engineering while performing official duties as an officer or employee of the federal government;(2) a regular employee of a public utility company while providing engineering services to any facility of the company that the State or federal government regulates to safeguard life, health, and property;(3) an officer or employee of a corporation, while the officer or employee practices engineering under the conditions authorized under § 14-302 of this subtitle;(4) an employee or other subordinate of a professional engineer, while the subordinate practices engineering under the conditions authorized under § 14-303(a)(1) of this subtitle; or(5) an employee of an individual who is not a professional engineer but who, nevertheless, is authorized to practice engineering, while the employee practices engineering under the conditions authorized under § 14-303(a)(2) of this subtitle.
