Any party who desires the signature of, or action by a judge on a legal paper and will deliver the paper to the Prothonotary for filing in accordance with Pa.R.C.P. No. 205.1, must first present the paper in motions court for entry of the order.

The paper must be presented to the court personally by or through counsel. After action is taken on the paper, the court will return the paper to counsel for filing and service. This rule does not apply to motions for summary judgment, motions for judgment on pleadings or posttrial motions.
