Rule 216 - Continuances. Applications(a)Pa.R.C.P. No. 216 shall apply to continuances of both jury and non-jury trials.(b) Continuances of proceedings other than trials will be granted only for good cause shown. The Court shall be guided by the factors set forth in Pa.R.C.P. No. 216 in determining whether such continuances should be granted.(c) A party seeking a continuance of any proceeding, including a trial, shall present to the Court an application for continuance substantially in the form prescribed by Appendix C of these Local Rules. When all attorneys of record and unrepresented parties do not agree that a continuance should be granted, such application shall be presented at Motions Court.(d) The Court will not consider granting a continuance a second time upon agreement of the attorneys unless there is a statement attached to the application signed by all parties to the action that they are aware of the filing of the application and that they consent to the continuance.
