Rule 607 - Notices of Additional Condemnees and Mortgagees

Within twenty (20) days after service of a petition for the appointment of viewers, each condemnee shall furnish to the Viewers and to the condemnor a notice containing the information required by 1-502(a)(4) and 1-506(a) of the Eminent Domain Code regarding the names, addresses and type of interest of all mortgagees and all other known condemnees who have an interest in the property and have not been identified in the petition.

"All other known condemnees" may include, but is not limited to, tenants or other occupants of the property as of the date of condemnation. Family members of the owner generally need not be listed. "Type of interest" may include, but is not limited to, such things as whether an occupancy was under an oral or written lease, whether the lease contains clause(s) intended to terminate the leasehold in the event of condemnation, and whether there is an easement or right of way.
