Rule 11.017 - Private Dependency Petitions
(1) When a private petition is filed in a dependency case where the Oregon Department of Human Services (ODHS) is not a party, the Juvenile Court Clerk's Office will schedule hearings as required by statute in due course.
(2) The party filing the private dependency petition is responsible for ensuring that service of the petition and summons is affected on the parties.
(3) The party filing a private dependency petition is responsible for providing the discovery to the court and other parties in the case.
(4) Following a Judgment for Jurisdiction & Disposition, the court will set a future status hearing out 365 days, or the date the child reaches the age of majority, whichever is sooner.
(5) The court may, on its own motion, terminate jurisdiction and wardship when the child reaches the age of majority.
