Ariz. R. Crim. P. 26.2

Rule 26.2 - Time to Render Judgment
(a)Upon Acquittal. If a defendant is found not guilty of any charge or any count of any charge, the court must immediately enter judgment pertaining to that count or charge.
(b)Upon Conviction. Upon a determination of guilt on any charge or on any count of any charge, the court must enter judgment and either pronounce sentence or set a date for sentencing under Rule 26.3.
(c)Upon a Death Verdict. Upon a death verdict, the court must immediately enter the judgment and sentence. The court must send, or direct the clerk to send, to the Department of Corrections the sentencing order and copies of all medical and mental health reports prepared for, or relating to, the defendant.
