Section 141-58-16 - Individual Combat Pistol Tournament

Trophy presented to the individual who posts the highest score in individual combat pistol competition.

a.Course of Fire.
1).Combat Position Firing. 10 shots, 25 yards, fired in time limit of 2 1/2 minutes. Firer starts in the prone position and loads the second magazine on his own command. Fixers will remain in the prone position until everyone has completed the stage, targets edged and the block NCO indicates that all weapons are clear.
2).Duel 10 shots, 25 yards, 2 strings of 5 shots each. Each string consists of five facings of the target for 5 seconds each facing. Shooter will fire one shot each facing, returning to the "ready" position after each shot.
3).Military Rapid Fire. 10 shots, 25 yards, rapid fire. Two strings of five shots per string in a time limit of 10 seconds per string. Firer starts in the READY position and shoots 5 shots at one target during the time limit.
b.Weapon. M1911A1 .45 caL service pistol as issued with no internal or external modifications.
c.Ammunition. .45 caL, service ball ammunition will be issued to all competitors on the firing line. No other ammunition will be used during this match.
d.Target. Silhouette, NSN 6920-713-5385.
e.Eligibility. All members of the West Virginia National Guard are eligible to compete in this match.
