Section 135-9-1 - General1.1. Scope. " This policy relates to academic freedom and responsibility, appointment, promotion, tenure, non-reappointment or dismissal of faculty, and grievance procedures for matters pertaining to feculty. The policy sets forth the major elements that need to be incorporated by institutional Boards of Governors as they formulate institutional policy relating to feculty issues. Each Board of Governors shall develop a policy on feculty matters for its institution as set forth in this West Virginia Council for Community and Technical College Education statement and shall file its pohcy with the Chancellor.1.2.
