Section 388-147-1390 - How does the department decide which children will be placed in the homes I certify?(1) We are responsible for the safety and well-being of the children placed in our custody by parents or the court and will place children where we believe is in their best interest.(2) We specify the maximum number, age range, and gender of children in each home you certify. We will base this on the skills and number of caretakers, the physical accommodations of the foster home, and the needs of children placed in a foster home. Based on this evaluation, we may license a foster home for the care of fewer than the maximum number of children.Wash. Admin. Code § 388-147-1390
