Any employee who feels the number of hours or other matters relating to overtime employment are detrimental to the health, safety or welfare of the employee may request the department of labor and industries to make an investigation following which the department will issue findings and conclusions. Whenever the circumstances are found to be detrimental to the health, safety or welfare of the employee, the department may adopt additional or revised employment standards.
