The executive secretary may require transportation of not more than two working models of associated equipment to a laboratory designated by the executive secretary. The laboratory may dismantle the associated equipment and may destroy electronic components in order to fully evaluate the equipment. The executive secretary may require the manufacturer or distributor seeking approval to provide specialized equipment or the services of an independent technical expert to evaluate the equipment. The executive secretary may require the payment of costs.
