A retail licensee must furnish proof to the commission that it has at least one million dollars of public liability insurance insuring the public against injury, death, or loss of property on the retail licensee's licensed premises. Upon application of the licensee, the commission may set a different amount. The requirement of this section is a special condition on every retail license issued or renewed after December 31, 1990.
