Section 61-78.1700.1706 - Ice and Drinking Water (II)

A. Ice from a Hospice Facility water system that is in accordance with Regulation Regulation 61-58, State Primary Drinking Water Regulations, shall be available and precautions taken to prevent contamination. The ice scoop shall be stored in a sanitary manner outside the ice container.

B. Potable drinking water shall be available and accessible to patients at all times.

C. The use of common cups shall be prohibited in a Hospice Facility.

D. Ice delivered in a Hospice Facility to patient areas in bulk shall be in nonporous, covered containers that shall be cleaned after each use.
