Section 12-502.3 - Writ Book (Receipt Book for Civil Papers Served)A. Description: Record of initial and intermediate civil processes served including writs, citations, subpoenas, notices, injunction, or warrants (19th century volumes may include criminal processes). Information includes parties names, attorneys, kind of writ, date of entry, by whom served, date of service, kind of service, sheriff's costs, general remarks.B. Retention: (1) Pre-1921 volumes: Permanent. Microfilm optional.(2) Post-1920 volumes: 10 years, then destroy.Added by State Register Volume 16, Issue No. 6, eff June 26, 1992.
