Section 1.92 - Swine erysipelas(a) All hogs plainly showing on antemortem inspection that they are affected with acute swine erysipelas shall be identified as "Pa. Condemned" and disposed of accordingly.(b) All hogs suspected on antemortem inspection of being affected with swine erysipelas shall be identified as "Pa. Suspects" and disposed of as provided in § 1.145 (relating to swine erysipelas) or subsection (c).(c) A hog suspected of being affected with swine erysipelas may be set apart and held for treatment under program or other responsible official supervision approved by the veterinary supervisor. If at the expiration of the treatment period the animal upon examination is found to be free from disease, it may be released for any purpose. Otherwise, it shall be identified as "Pa. Suspect" and disposed of as provided in subsection (b) of this section or condemned and disposed of as provided in § 1.96 (relating to disposition of condemned livestock), whichever is appropriate.
