Section 297.231 - General requirements(a) The operator may not cause or allow a point or nonpoint source discharge in violation of The Clean Streams Law from or on the facility to surface waters of this Commonwealth.(b) A residual waste processing facility shall be operated to prevent and control water pollution. An operator shall operate and maintain necessary water pollution treatment facilities until water pollution from or on the facility has been permanently abated.(c) A facility shall be operated to prevent or minimize contact by surface water or groundwater with solid waste or processed material.(d) The operator may not cause or allow water pollution on or off the site.(e) The operator may not cause contamination of the soil on or off the site.
