Section 6173.6 - Training program curriculum

(a) A Livery Vehicle Safety Training Program offered by a provider agency utilizing funds received pursuant to this Part shall follow a curriculum that is consistent with the provisions of this section.

(b) A Livery Vehicle Safety Training Program shall provide at least four hours of instruction and shall include the following subjects:

(1) methods to maximize personal safety, including information on available equipment and technologies;

(2) effective passenger management and communication skills;

(3) vehicular and pedestrian safety, including a review of the applicable provisions of the Vehicle and Traffic Law and applicable local regulations; and

(4) any other subject relevant to the public health and safety in the operation of livery vehicles.
