N.J. Admin. Code § 5:80-33.20

The Code requires that the chief executive officer of the municipality in which the project is to be located be given the opportunity to comment on the project. The application may include a letter from the chief executive officer of the municipality or NJHMFA staff shall notify the chief executive officer of the municipality and allow them a reasonable opportunity to comment on the project.
