This subchapter implements 4:1C-43.1 by establishing a municipal farmland preservation planning incentive grant program. The rules describe the procedures that the State Agriculture Development Committee shall follow to provide grants to eligible municipalities, which grants shall be for the purpose of preserving a significant area of reasonably contiguous farmland that will promote the long-term economic viability of agriculture as an industry in a municipality.
