Section 2:35A-3.2 - Selection criteria(a) Each applicant that submits a completed application by the deadline date specified in the notice of availability of funds shall be eligible for review of its grant proposal. Such application will be considered against the selection criteria by the Council, which will make recommendations of grant awards to the State Board of Agriculture.(b) The selection criteria in (a) above is as follows: 1. A description of the project, including information as to the goals and objectives to be accomplished, implementation strategy, estimated cost of the project (including an estimated budget) and an estimated completion date of the project;2. How the project will benefit the research, development and promotional efforts of the wine industry, including how quickly the benefit will occur;3. Statewide benefits of the project;4. Individuals or entities that will benefit from the project;5. The project's benefit to agriculture;6. All other sources or potential sources of matching funding;7. The need for the project and whether there are any other similar projects that address the same needs or provide the same or a similar benefit as the proposed project; and8. Any other information that may be relevant to the evaluation of the proposed project.(c) The Department shall provide written notice to any applicant who has submitted an incomplete application or who has been determined to be ineligible to receive an award, of that fact and the reasons within 30 days.
