Section 17:27-12.1 - Financing minority and women worker outreach and training programs

(a) Annual funding for on-the-job and/or off-the-job outreach and training programs for minorities and women in the construction trades administered by the Department of Labor and Workforce Development shall be set forth in the Appropriations Act, by statute, and/or other means permitted by law, by no later than July 1st of each year. The Department shall notify all public agencies of the funding mechanism for these programs by no later than July 15th of each year.

(b) Public agencies that are required to allocate and release funds for outreach and training programs for minorities and women in the construction trades, in accordance with (a) above, shall notify the Department of the allocation and release of training funds to the Department of Labor and Workforce Development in writing and within 10 business days of the release.
