Section 16:53-3.2 - Dimensions

(a) The overall length of a single unit autobus shall not exceed 45 feet, excluding the bumpers. The overall length of an articulated autobus shall not exceed 61 feet, excluding the bumpers.

(b) The overall width of an autobus shall not exceed 102 inches outside measurement, measured at the widest point of the body. Mirrors, fender moldings, and other similar accessories shall not be included in determining body width.

(c) The inside height of the entire aisle of autobuses transporting passengers shall not be less than 75 inches measured vertically from the floor to the ceiling or any fixture. For purposes of this subsection, an aisle shall be deemed to start at the front of the front seats and end at a point 84 inches forward of the rear firewall.

(d) The overall height of an autobus shall not exceed 13 feet, six inches.
