Section 16:51-2.4 - Amendments
(a) Pleadings will be liberally construed in the interest of justice. The Division may disregard errors or defects in pleadings, which deficiencies do not affect the substantial rights of the parties, or may in its discretion before or after the conclusion of any proceedings it conducts allow any pleadings to be amended or corrected or any omission therein to be supplied upon such terms as may be lawful and just, provided such amendment, correction, or addition does not prejudice a substantial right of any party.
(b) Whenever, subsequent to the date of the pleading, there is any significant change with respect to a matter contained in such a pleading, the party who filed the pleading shall promptly file an amendment showing or explaining the changed facts or circumstances.
(c) The filing of an amendment under this section shall not be considered a new filing as of the date of its filing unless otherwise ordered or permitted by the Division.
