Section 15:3-9.7 - Return and rejection of documents

The submitter of a recorded electronic document is the party entitled to the return of the document. Electronic documents that are recorded shall be returned with recording information upon recordation. A document may be rejected only if it does not meet the requirements set forth in 46:26A-6.a. If a document is rejected, the document shall be returned to the submitter along with a statement of all grounds for its rejection in accordance with 46:26A-6.c. If a document is rejected for technical reasons (for example, the county recorder's requirement is to accept a TIFF document for recording and the submitter submits a PDF document) the county recorder shall return the document to the submitter along with a statement of all grounds for technical rejection.
