Section 10:75-3.4 - Communication regarding the use of emergency safety interventions(a) All residents shall be informed of all facility policies related to the use of restraint or seclusion upon admission to the facility. In the case of a resident who is under the age of 18, the resident's parent or legal guardian shall be informed of the policies.(b) The policies shall be explained orally and provided in writing in a language that the resident and/or the resident's parent or legal guardian understands.(c) The written policies shall include the contact information for the State's Protection and Advocacy agency. (d) The resident, or the resident's parent or legal guardian, shall sign an acknowledgement that this policy was provided to them and that they understand the policy. This written and signed acknowledgement shall be placed in the resident's file.N.J. Admin. Code § 10:75-3.4
