Section Pos 702.02 - Award Amounts and Frequency
(a) Individual awards by participating institutions shall be based on financial need in accordance with the following:
(1) The institution shall determine financial need through use of the method for determining eligibility in campus-based federal Title IV financial aid programs;
(2) The amount of the award, in addition to the expected family contribution and Title IV aid, shall not exceed the cost of attendance;
(3) Individual awards, both from funds of the State of New Hampshire and from the participating institution, shall not diminish the amount of grant aid to which eligible students are otherwise entitled; and
(4) Participating institutions shall be responsible for ensuring that awards are only made to students who are eligible to receive financial aid and are enrolled in a program leading to certification or licensure in a designated workforce shortage area.
(b) A student shall be eligible to receive awards for a number of full-time equivalent semesters as specified below:
(1) For certificate programs, 2 semesters;
(2) For associate degree programs, 4 semesters;
(3) For baccalaureate programs, 8 semesters; and
(4) For graduate programs, 4 semesters.
