Any registered optician who has no prior education or training in the necessary knowledge and skills shall not engage in activities that require the necessary knowledge and skills without being supervised and trained by a registered optician or other licensed eye care professional having at least one year of experience, until such time as the supervising professional determines that the individual has acquired the necessary knowledge and skills to act independently.
