After milk is obtained from a hoofed mammal, the milk must be transported by means of an enclosed pipeline. The transfer of milk from a bulk holding or cooling tank to a transport tank must be through a port for the hose located in the wall of the milkhouse. The port must be constructed so that it is self-closing and easily cleaned. The area under the port on the outside wall must be a surface that is easily cleaned and is sufficiently large to protect the milk hose from contamination. All this equipment is subject to the approval of the Commission.
