Section 458.341 - Qualifications for certificationTo be eligible for certification by the Division as a detoxification technician, an applicant must:
1. Have:(a) A high school diploma; or(b) A general equivalency diploma or equivalent document;2. Hold current certification in the techniques of administering cardiopulmonary resuscitation;3. Have completed 6 hours of training approved by the Division, including, without limitation, training in: (a) Acute withdrawal symptoms from alcohol and drug use;(b) The requirements for the confidentiality of client information set forth in the provisions of 42 C.F.R. Part 2 and 45 C.F.R. Parts 160, 162 and 164;(c) The control of infections and communicable diseases;(d) Measuring and monitoring vital signs of clients; and(e) The ethical requirements and standards of practice for detoxification technicians; and4. Pass an examination for certification as a detoxification technician as required by NAC 458.345.Nev. Admin. Code § 458.341
