Section 458.183 - Operators and staff: Responsibilities concerning clients and participantsAn operator and the staff shall:
1. Upon the request of a client or participant, assist the client or participant in reporting any violation of any licensure or certification standard or requirement, or any violation of any law or regulation to the appropriate board or agency.2. Act in the best interest of a client or participant.3. Terminate the provision of a service to a client or participant if it is reasonably clear that the client or participant is not benefiting from the service.4. Not give or receive any commission or any other form of remuneration for the referral of a client or participant from the entity to which the client or participant is referred.5. Not use his or her relationship with a client or participant to promote his or her personal gain or profit.6. Not enter into, or attempt to enter into, a financial relationship that is unrelated to services performed by the program with a current client or participant or a former client or participant, as required by the licensure or certification board of the operator or the member of the staff and for unlicensed or uncertified operators or staff, for at least 2 years after the client or participant is discharged from the program.Nev.
