Section 449.61332 - Employment and duties of medical director

Each independent center for emergency medical care shall employ a physician to serve as medical director of the center. Except as otherwise provided in NAC 449.61322, the director is answerable to the governing body for the quality of medical care provided to patients and the ethical and professional practices of the members of the medical staff. The director shall:

1. Create and carry out policies for the care of patients; and

2. Coordinate medical care at the center.
