At the request of a repair organization for boilers, pressure vessels, or component parts, the Department may conduct an inspection of the organization's quality control program and facilities. This inspection shall be for the purpose of renewal of authorization to use the National Board "R" symbol stamp. Such requests shall be submitted to the Department at least six (6) months prior the expiration date of such stamps. Initial quality control reviews shall be done by the National Board. If the chief boiler inspector is qualified as a National Board Team leader to conduct "R" stamp renewals, the Chief Boiler Inspector shall conduct all required reviews after the initial review for renewal of the National Board "R" symbol stamp.
