Rule 10.16.3018 - CRITERIA FOR IDENTIFICATION OF STUDENT AS HAVING OTHER HEALTH IMPAIRMENT(1) The student may be identified as having other health impairment if: (a) the student has limited strength, vitality, or alertness, including a heightened alertness to environmental stimuli that results in limited alertness with respect to the educational environment, that is due to chronic or acute health problems such as asthma, attention deficit disorder or attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, diabetes, epilepsy, a heart condition, hemophilia, lead poisoning, leukemia, nephritis, rheumatic fever, sickle cell anemia, or Tourette syndrome; and(b) the condition adversely affects the student's educational performance.(2) A medical diagnosis of a chronic or acute health problem is required.Mont.
