The MDOT - Right of Way Division, in coordination with or as requested by the MDOT - Environmental Division, shall identify and assess potentially contaminated properties which may be purchased as part of roadway improvement projects in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 (NEPA), 42 U. S. C. 4321 et seq. and any other applicable state and federal laws and regulations as amended.
