Rule 1-5-11.2 - SuspensionA. A notary public's commission may be suspended for any actions contrary to the act, other laws and the requirements of these Rules.B. Prior to suspension of a notary public's commission, the Secretary of State shall inform the notary of the basis for the suspension and that the suspension takes effect on a particular date unless a proper appeal is filed with the Secretary of State before that date.C. Resignation or expiration of a notary public's commission does not terminate or preclude an inquiry into the notary's conduct by the Secretary of State whereupon it shall be made a matter of public record whether or not the finding would have been grounds for suspension.1 Miss.
