Section R. 324.613 - Production from directionally drilled wellsRule 613.
(1) An allowable production rate shall not be assigned or production permitted from a directionally drilled well until a certified well survey has been furnished by the permittee of a well to the supervisor. A directionally drilled well with a producing interval that is contrary to the established boundary setback of the drilling unit or pooled or communitized area shall be limited or restricted in the same manner as provided for regularly drilled wells located contrary to the boundary setback of the drilling unit or pooled or communitized area.(2) The production from directionally drilled wells that can be produced contrary to the established boundary setback of the drilling unit or pooled or communitized area shall be limited or restricted in the same manner pursuant to R 324.301(4)(a) for regularly drilled wells located contrary to the applicable boundary setback of the drilling unit or pooled or communitized area. A permittee of a well shall not conduct production testing from a directionally drilled well until a certified well survey has been furnished to, and approved by, the supervisor or authorized representative of the supervisor pursuant to R 324.421. Injection wells utilized for gas storage are exempt from this subrule.Mich. Admin. Code R. 324.613
