(1) "Exposure" means the quotient of dQ by dm where dQ is the absolute value of the total charge of the ions of 1 sign produced in air when all the electrons (negatrons and positrons) liberated by photons in a volume element of air having mass dm are completely stopped in air. The special unit of exposure is the roentgen.(2) "Exposure rate" means the exposure per unit of time, such as R/min, mR/h.(3) "Facility" means the location at which 1 or more devices or sources of radiation are installed or located within 1 building or under 1 roof and are under the same administrative control.Mich.
