Section 10.44.24.06 - Scope of Practice

A. A dentist or dental hygienist with a retired volunteer license to practice dentistry or dental hygiene in the State shall practice only:

(1) In a dental office;

(2) In a dental clinic;

(3) In an ambulatory care facility;

(4) In a hospital; or

(5) For an entity providing medical care to the poor, the elderly, or handicapped that is operated:

(a) By the State;

(b) By a local government;

(c) By a bona fide charitable organization; or

(d) In any other setting approved by the Board.

B. A dentist or dental hygienist with a retired volunteer license may not receive compensation for practicing dentistry or dental hygiene in the State.
