Section 10.44.04.37 - Continuing Education and Renewal for Prescribing and Administering MedicationA. A dental hygienist is not required to renew the Board recognition to prescribe and administer medication.B. A dental hygienist who has successfully completed the 4-hour Board-approved course of instruction for recognition to prescribe and administer medication since graduating from an approved school of dental hygiene may receive 4-hours of continuing education credit toward renewal of their dental hygiene license.Md.
