Section 09.26.05.02 - Training for Work with Tug AssistanceExcept as provided in Regulation .01 of this chapter, a pilot who held an unlimited license before October 1, 2004, shall satisfy the following requirements before the pilot may be assigned work that includes the berthing and unberthing of vessels with tug assistance or the shifting of a vessel within a port with tug assistance:
A. Successful performance of a minimum of 200 berthings, unberthings, or shifts under the supervision of a pilot who held a docking master license before October 1, 2004, or who is qualified under this chapter;B. The recommendation of the Association that the pilot be permitted to receive pilotage assignments that include the berthing and unberthing of vessels with tug assistance and the shifting of vessels within a port with tug assistance; andC. Sufficient ability, skill, and experience in the berthing and unberthing of vessels with tug assistance and the shifting of vessels within a port with tug assistance as demonstrated to the satisfaction of the Board by actual observation of performance.Md.
