Section 001-270-III - Licensing RequirementsA.Licensing1. All persons owning honeybees that remain within the state shall notify the Commissioner of the number of colonies and their location by June 15th of each year.2. All persons owning honeybees shall forward to the Commissioner for deposit with the Treasurer of State, an annual license fee in accordance with the fee schedule listed below.3. All fees received pursuant to this subsection must be paid to the Treasurer of State and credited to a separate, nonlapsing account in the Department. Money received pursuant to this subsection must be used for the expenses of administering this chapter.4. No license fee may be less than $10.00 per beekeeper. A license may be issued for a one-year, 2-year or 3-year period. Licenses for a period in excess of one year may be issued only with the agreement of or at the request of the applicant.
